Beam’s story begins in Japan, far removed from the Americana that would later inspire him as a tattoo artist.

Like a character from Jim Jarmusch’s Mystery Train, he came to the U.S. drawn by his love for traditional American culture, a passion that still infuses every piece he creates.

Beam started his tattooing career at Sid’s Tattoo in Santa Ana, where he honed his skills  under the guidance of close friends and mentors, before bringing his craft to Torch Tattoo in Anaheim.

With a distinct love for bold line work and a classic, old-school aesthetic, Beam’s tattoos reflect the timeless edge and swagger of traditional tattooing.
