AFTERCARE
- Remove the bandage after 3-5 hours
- Wash your tattoo with warm/hot water and antibacterial soap
- Make sure to clean off all the old ointment completely
- Pat dry, then apply a very thin layer of ointment
- Do not over apply the ointment!
- Do all these 2-3 times a day for 3-5 days as the tattoo is healing
- Once your tattoo starts peeling you can switch to an unscented hand lotion, or continue with ointment for 2-3 weeks
To Avoid Increasing Your Risk of Infection:
- Do not pick or scratch your healing tattoo
- Do not expose your healing tattoo to pools, spas, oceans, or rivers
- No sunscreen for 2-3 weeks
- No Spray Tanning
- Do not expose your tattoo to animals or do any gardening while your tattoo is healing
A tattoo should be healed in 1-2 weeks
Signs and symptoms of infection include, but are not limited to, prolonged redness with tenderness beyond that which is normal for a tattoo
Some people swell and stay red longer than others - this does not necessarily mean you have an infection
Medical attention should be sought if you have red streaks going from the procedure site towards the heart, elevated body temperature, or drainage from the procedure site
You'll be fine, just keep it clean.
